Residential and business districts will appear along the Chirchik River in Tashkent. Video

A new large-scale urban development project “Daryo bui business city” will appear in Tashkent, providing for the development of the coastal areas of the Chirchik River and the creation of residential, business and public spaces.

This became known duringpresentationsproject, held in the Bektemir district of the capital.

The project covers the development of the territory along a 24-kilometer section of the Chirchik River and provides for the construction of residential and business quarters, the formation of public spaces for recreation, walking and family leisure, as well as the development of transport and engineering infrastructure.

Special attention is paid to creating a comfortable urban environment, expanding opportunities for residents, developing the service sector, trade, tourism and entrepreneurship, as well as improving the environmental situation.

The project also plans to create 12 artificial lakes, work on which has already begun.

The presentation was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for reforming the water supply system Timur Butunbaev, Tashkent city khokim Shavkat Umurzakov, district khokims, representatives of relevant departments and design organizations.

During the discussion, design solutions were reviewed and recommendations were made to refine the concept, taking into account public comfort, environmental sustainability, safety and economic efficiency.
