Tashkent is among the three most rapidly changing cities in the world
International consulting company Boston Consulting Group (BCG)presentedstudy Built to Change: How Cities Compete for the Future, dedicated to the development of the world`s largest cities and how megacities are adapting to the challenges of the future. Tashkent is recognized as one of the fastest changing cities on the planet.
In the BCG ranking, Tashkent was among the world leaders in terms of the speed of transformation and took third place among 80 cities, behind only the Chinese Shenzhen and the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
In addition, Tashkent has become a world leader in the rate of change in economic activity, including the growth of real incomes and a decrease in unemployment.
In addition to development dynamics and economic indicators, experts assessed cities based on other key criteria, including quality of life, level of social capital and the effectiveness of interaction between residents and government agencies.
BCG experts emphasize that the success of cities today is determined not only by infrastructure, but also by the ability to quickly change and create value for residents. Tashkent is demonstrating precisely this dynamic: it is becoming attractive to investors, specialists and digital nomads, creating an image as a center of knowledge, technology and culture in Central Asia.
Previously, Uzbekistan wasrecognizedthe most peaceful country in Central Asia.
